Indignados Will March On Spanish Parliament

The Indignados movement is preparing to march on Madrid from across Spain. In the week that the Troika announces a new round of ‘austerity’ measures, the enraged populace will surround Parliament, intending to stay there until the government resigns.

There is controversy around the action as some general assemblies expressed concern that this could involve a coup d’etat by people from the peripheries of Spain not representative of the entire movement. However, the sheer number of Spaniards traveling to Madrid from all parts of the country may cause even cynics to recognise that a popular revolution is possible.

ONN will be bringing you ongoing livestream commentary and social media updates throughout the day.
